What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a naturally fermented tea beverage that has been enjoyed for centuries. It's made by fermenting sweetened tea with a culture of beneficial bacteria and yeast, creating a refreshing drink rich in organic acids, probiotics and other naturally occurring compounds.
Known for its distinctive tangy character and wellness benefits, kombucha has become a much-loved alternative to sugary soft drinks and artificial beverages.

Water. Tea. Sugar. Live Culture.
Our kombucha is crafted with simplicity and care. During fermentation, the culture consumes much of the sugar and transforms the tea into a lightly sparkling beverage containing live cultures and naturally occurring acids. That process is what gives kombucha its unique taste and character.
Naturally fermented. Remarkably smooth.
Our kombucha is naturally fermented in oak barrels using live cultures and traditional fermentation methods. The result is a smooth, balanced kombucha with a naturally soft flavour.
We keep our kombucha pure:
- No forced carbonation
- No added sugars
- No preservatives
- No unnecessary additives
While kombucha is a living product that naturally changes during fermentation, we use carefully measured ingredients, controlled temperatures, and a consistent brewing process to create a raw, clean kombucha that stays true to the way it was meant to be made

Frequently asked questions
Does kombucha have caffeine?
Yes, kombucha contains a small amount of caffeine, because it starts life as tea. Most kombucha is brewed with black or green tea, both of which are naturally caffeinated. However, the level is significantly lower than what you'd find in a cup of coffee or freshly brewed tea. During fermentation, the live culture (SCOBY) consumes some of the caffeine alongside the sugar.
Can I drink kombucha if I have diabetes?
If you have diabetes, it is important to be mindful of sugar content. Different kombuchas can contain different levels of sugar depending on the fermentation process and whether extra sugar is added afterwards. Raw, naturally fermented kombucha will typically still contain small amounts of natural sugar, and because it is a living product, fermentation can continue over time which will decrease sugar to net zero. Kombucha can be enjoyed as part of a balanced lifestyle, but we recommend checking the sugar content and speaking to your healthcare professional if you are managing diabetes.
Can I drink kombucha when on medication?
If you take medication regularly, it is best to check with your healthcare professional before adding kombucha to your routine. Certain medications can be affected by foods and drinks, and kombucha has been known to detox.
What is a probiotic?
Probiotics are live microorganisms, often called "good bacteria", that support a healthy balance of microorganisms in your gut. Kombucha contains live cultures created during fermentation. These cultures are part of what makes kombucha a naturally fermented beverage and are one of the reasons many people choose to include fermented foods and drinks as part of a balanced life.
